Hart Roofing Insurance Claim Process

Step 1: Call Hart Roofing at (919) 608-4081 to schedule a free inspection of your roof, gutters, siding, and more. We’ll assess your home for hail, wind, and storm damage.

Step 2:  If damage is identified, we’ll execute our first insurance contract, authorizing us to collaborate with your insurance company. Then, we’ll help you initiate the claims process by contacting your insurance provider.

Step 3:  Share your adjuster’s information with us or ask them to contact us directly to schedule an inspection. We must be present during this appointment to represent your interests. Do not allow the adjuster to assess your roof alone, even if they claim it’s unnecessary.

Step 4:  Hart Roofing and your insurance adjuster will inspect all affected areas of your property, discuss covered damages, and reach a verbal agreement. We’ll highlight any damages they might overlook and ensure they adhere to North Carolina’s building codes and manufacturer guidelines.

Step 5:  Your adjuster will send you documentation detailing the covered damages. Before signing, forward this paperwork to Hart Roofing so we can confirm that all damages have been fairly and accurately assessed.

Step 6: We’ll execute our second insurance contract and schedule the work once everything is approved. We’ll help you choose shingle types, colors, gutters, and siding that enhance the beauty of your home.

Step 7:  Endorse the first insurance ACV check payable to Hart Roofing, the deductible, and any upgrade costs, if applicable. Once payment is received, we’ll begin the work.

Step 8:  After completing the project, Hart Roofing will walk you through a final inspection to ensure your satisfaction and sign the Certificate of Completion (COC). We’ll then submit all necessary paperwork to your insurance company so they can release any remaining depreciation funds.

Step 9:  Hart Roofing will register all labor and workmanship warranties on your behalf. You will receive your certified suppliers by mail.
